My Frite Nite Podcast Mix
From the Frite Nite blog:
In celebration of his new collaborative release with Salva, our 23rd podcast features an exclusive mix from San Francisco based dj/producer Grenier. Simply put, this mix is extraordinary. Dean Grenier (previously recording under his DJG moniker) has long been one of our favorite selectors, and we’re thrilled to finally have him on board with FTNT for some original...

Hello Again.
Looks like it is that time of year when people reflect back on the year now almost passed. I always find this time of year funny. With a twitter feed full of #dubstepmemories and bloggers writing about how entire genres of music are dying or dead I am looking to the future with optimism and excitement! I can’t wait for 2012, I am making huge plans and I think it’s...

Hello my friends—
Today I’m releasing “Voids”, One & Two. It’s a collection of songs I want you to have. There’s so much I could say about it all, but I’d rather you just go and listen.
Head over to music.djgsound.com and download both volumes. You can download them for free, or if you choose you can donate whatever you deem appropriate.

'Hydrate' out today
In a climate that’s driving so many D’n’B producers towards dubstep, there’s a small but noticeable trend of producers looking to higher tempos (Scuba, Ramadanman, SYNKRO) to expand their sound. DJG joins their ranks on ‘Hydrate’, backed with a Consequence remix for moral support. His title cut should slip neatly alongside the Autonomic posse’s...

‘Art is fundamentally a survival device of the species. Otherwise it wouldn’t be so persistent. It wouldn’t be in every culture. We wouldn’t know about it…
How does art help you survive? It helps us survive by making us attentive. In a simplistic way, when you go past a forest and you look at it…

San Francisco producer Comma is projecting holograms of his vision for the future of music. As a member of the tastemaker beat collective Frite Nite, he’s one of the fastest rising names in the Bay Area’s diverse production scene. With influences ranging from the UK underground, ambient techno, Detroit...
